    Since 2007, Leticia Peralta has served as the cofounding principal of Peralta Garcia Solutions, a financial and management consulting firm that advises nonprofit organizations and government agencies. She draws on in-depth knowledge of strategic planning, budget development, and project feasibility assessment, among other key aspects of public finance. Leticia Peralta has more than 25 years of experience in public finance and has demonstrated expertise in financial advising as well as the development of public-private partnerships.

    Leticia Peralta balances her professional responsibilities with extensive service to her community. Active with the Michael A. DeStefano Foundation, a nonprofit group dedicated to the support of individuals with traumatic brain injury (TBI) and their families, she also serves on the board of such institutions as Lurie's Children's Hospital and the Illinois Council Against Handgun Violence.

    Ms. Peralta has earned a number of awards for her service, including Woman of the Year awards from the Anti-Defamation League and the Coalition for United Community Action. She also received the Chicago Minority Business Development Council's Impact Award and the Latinas in Leadership Award.

    An avid runner in her free time, Leticia Peralta has competed in 5k, 10k, and 15k races as well as half-marathons and full marathons. She achieved her personal best half-marathon time in 2015, when she completed the run in less than two hours. Dedicated to personal fitness in the general sense as well, she has worked with a personal trainer for more than seven years.
